Owls and Bluebells

It was my other half birthday earlier this month and so I treated him to a photoshoot day for Birds of Prey. I selected the experience from Going Digital Yorkshire as I had previously had a good experience with them when taken pictures of field mice.

Bright and early we arrived at a private woodland in Yorkshire along with 4 other keen photographers. What a treat when we found that not only did we have the birds to photograph but also the woodland was covered in bluebells at their beautiful best.

We were treated so well, there were hot drinks on arrival made over a camp fire. I just loved the smell of wood fire and wildflowers combined. Then we met the birds one by one. These were not any birds but carefully rescued and cannot be returned to the wild for one reason or another. Everyone was very careful to treat both the birds and the bluebells with the greatest respect. We didn’t approach the owls too closely or trample over the flowers.
